Keep Calm and Carry On

I was interested by this article. The poster has been a fixture, and a talking point, in my office for a few years now. It never fails to intrigue the visitor. I saw it on a visit to Barter Books, and ordered it from them, before the avalanche of interest they report. What's the attraction? It's simple. And it's true.

I see writer Sebastian Faulks also has it on the wall of his writing room (http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/jan/17/sebastian-faulks-writers-rooms). Doesn't it originate from the war?

Yes- printed but never distributed by the ministry of information. The link to the BBC article has the details.
All the best writers have it...

I've just had chance to explore your link. I like the sentiment - what more is there to say?
