...and further to the musings on religious belief below, let's not forget that the Reverend Dubya, currently failing to organise a piss-up in a brewery, is also keen on the teaching of creationism as an alternative to evolution in America's allegedly religion-free schools. Richard Dawkins does a demolition job here, but it's really shooting fish in a barrel.

I am totally baffled as to how the debate on intelligent design (no capital letters from me) has got this far. How can it possibly and practically be taught as a science when there is no scientific evidence to support it? End of story as far as I am concerned. Perhaps I am missing the necessary brain cells. In that case my designer slipped up and maybe he/she or it isn't so intelligent after all.
